Our team developed a 3D adventure video game for the class Game Design and Analysis. Players explore an alien world and photograph wildlife for a “National Geographic” style periodical. My responsibilities were writing narrative and dialogue, playtesting, 3D art and asset design in addition to overall design performed by all members.

Team project for Educational Technology class with the goal of designinga multi-platform mobile flashcard review system to aid students and teachers in creation, sharing, performance tracking, and spaced-repetition review of lesson-based flash cards across platforms. The lesson management features (left) are web-based, while the review (right) is primarily designed for Google Glass, or similar mobile devices (tablets, cell phones).

As part of the Emergent Game Lab studio's Design Team, I gained valuable experience in game development projects involving over 30 participants in areas of programming, design, writing and art. Aside from design meetings for the Mermaids MMO, I worked on:
Mermaids - The Glyph system is incorporated into gameplay through gesture-based spellcasting abilities and (potentially) the purposefully limited inter-player communication system developed concurrently. Mermaids MMOG
Ellis Island - I researched historical figures and trends while developing storylines involving player characters' encounters with Nikola Tesla while looking for work. The players' interactions with with NPCs while navigating intrigue/conflict between Nikola's Workshop and a rival are mapped in the diagram above. Ellis Island MMOG
